Points for advancing to new levels can be earned once per level. When
students complete level D, for example, and proceed to level E, they will be
awarded three points. If students then repeat worksheets in level D for any
reason, there will be no additional points awarded for achieving level E a
second time.
For the purpose of determining "G by 5" points only, existing students means
those students who were (i) in grade 5 or below during the 1999-2000 school year
and (ii) are studying in level G or higher in math or reading as of August 20,
2000, or kokugo as of August 20, 2003.
For the purpose of determining advanced study points only, existing students
means those individuals with an enrollment date in math, reading, and/or kokugo
as of August 20, 2000 or after. Existing students who have already met advanced
honor roll status and advanced study of two or three years ahead of grade level
in math, reading, and/or kokugo will be credited cumulative points for their
advanced study. Therefore, existing students may be eligible for a maximum of 22
points for advanced study (5 for Honor Roll + 7 for two years advanced student +
10 for three years advanced study).
